MP attends nutrient neutrality roundtable at 10 Downing Street

Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, attended a roundtable discussion on nutrient neutrality at 10 Downing Street on the 7th June. The local MP was joined by fellow parliamentarians affected by the management of nitrates and phosphates in Special Protection Areas in their constituencies.

MP meets South West Water to discuss River Lim and Church Cliff Beach

Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, met with the Chief Operating Officer of South West Water, John Halsall, on the 5th June in Westminster where the MP convened the meeting to discuss the health of the River Lim and the re-designation of Church Beach as a bathing beach.

Chris Loder MP gives backing to further reforms for Animal Welfare

West Dorset’s MP Chris Loder has given his backing to a new Animal Welfare Bill that will clamp down on ill treatment of animals in the tourist sector abroad. The Animals (Low Welfare Activities Abroad) Bill passed its Committee Stage on the morning of the 8th March.
