Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has pledged his support for all dental practices in West Dorset. It follows a meeting the local MP held on the 21st September with members of the Dorset Local Dental Committee in Dorchester. The MP has previously written to all NHS dental practices in West Dorset and has made the case for better access to NHS dentistry in Parliament in May this year.
Speaking about the meeting, Mr Loder said: “It’s been very constructive to meet with members of the Dorset Local Dental Committee. Our dental practices are facing multi-faceted challenges and it’s important that I understand this from dental staff directly dealing with this on a day-to-day basis. I’m grateful for the suggestions members and staff made at our meeting, especially in relation to boosting access to NHS appointments.”
He continued: “I’m committed to supporting our dental staff and their practices, and I shall lobby NHS Dorset and the Government to find improvements and to implement reforms in this sector.”
