Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Rt Hon Steve Barclay, visited West Dorset on 26th April in support of Chris Loder MP’s rural campaigns. As part of the visit, the Environment Secretary also took part in two Q&A sessions with the Melplash Agricultural Society and the Dorchester Agricultural Society.
Mr Loder said: “It’s been excellent to host the Environment Secretary in West Dorset and to talk in depth about many of my campaigns, such as boosting food security, improving animal welfare, paying farmers a fair price, and clearer food labelling. It’s also been constructive to facilitate two Q&A sessions with members of the Melplash Agricultural Society and the Dorchester Agricultural Society.”
