West Dorset’s businesses, community groups and organisations can apply for a share of £1.2 million following the efforts of Chris Loder MP. As part of the Government’s levelling up commitment, Round 1 of both the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and the Rural England Prosperity Fund is now open for applications – both Funds will close on Wednesday 31st January.
Chris Loder MP said: “I’ve pushed for additional funding for West Dorset in Parliament and I’m glad that over £1.2 million is available for our local businesses, community groups and organisations. This is significant investment from Government, with further funding available for Dorset in early spring.”
The local MP continued: “Capital and revenue funding is available to support a range of good causes, including community measures to reduce the cost of living and grants to support early-stage businesses. Under the Rural England Prosperity Fund, specific grants also exist for investment in rural businesses.”
Mr Loder is urging any of West Dorset’s businesses, community groups and organisations to apply. The Funds are assessed by Dorset Council and all grants must be spent and finalised before the 31st March 2024. The local MP is offering to assist with advice and support with applications.
