Lyme Regis’ River Lim was once again on Chris Loder MP’s agenda at the South West Water roadshow on Thursday 18th April. Mr Loder, who has been campaigning to clean up the River Lim, discussed again the key issues with CEO Susan Davy and to learn more about the water company’s investment plans.
Mr Loder said: “It was very constructive to attend South West Water’s roadshow, which provided more detail on the plans to improve all storm overflows along the River Lim by 2027 as part of a £20 million investment package. I will continue to apply pressure to South West Water to ensure this becomes a reality.”
He added: “It was also useful to learn more about the data collected by South West Water and the Environment Agency to monitor the health of the River Lim. Now that 100% of storm overflows are now monitored improves data transparency and enables me – and the public – to hold South West Water to account.”
