Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, welcomed choristers of Sherborne Abbey Choir and their families to Parliament and Downing Street on the 4th August 2023. Over forty people attended and were given a tour of the Parliamentary Estate, including the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The Choir finished their visit by performing at evensong at evensong in Westminster Abbey.
Reflecting on the day, Mr Loder said: “I am glad that Sherborne Abbey Choir have managed to tie in a visit to Westminster on their visit up to London. It has been great to meet with all the choristers and their families. The service in Westminster Abbey was incredible, and it is a testament to the effort and dedication of the Director of Music, Jamie Henderson.”
