Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has hailed the Melplash Agricultural Show for ‘showcasing the very best of West Dorset’. The Show, which took place on the 24th August at the West Bay Showground, featured record-breaking attendance and over 400 trade stands. Mr Loder, who himself had a stand at the event, met with hundreds of constituents from across the West Dorset constituency to discuss a wide range of concerns and issues. Speaking about the event, he said:
“It has been fantastic to meet with so many constituents in-person. The reception has been overwhelmingly positive, and it has been great to offer my assistance to help resolve as many enquiries as I can. The Melplash Show showcases the very best of West Dorset. Local businesses, farmers, and producers are all in attendance to exhibit their high-quality goods and services, and the crowds haven’t stopped flocking! It has been brilliant to meet with so many local people.”
“The Show is of course known for its agricultural specialisms, and I am impressed by the amount of effort and determination that has gone into making this year’s Show a real success. It is a testament to all those who work on our farms and in the local agricultural sector.”
