Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has hailed the announcement today that the Energy Regulator OFGEM has dropped the energy price cap to the lowest level since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 caused an unprecedented spike in energy prices. The move is estimated to save households up to 12% on their energy bills.
Mr Loder said of the announcement; “the 12% drop in energy bills is clear evidence of why we were right to prioritise British energy security at such uncertain times and of the Government’s diligent work in controlling the cost of living for working people across the UK. My work will continue to ensure rural constituents reliant on oil fired boilers are also treated with fairness.”
