Chris Loder MP has praised the Government’s Pharmacy First scheme, which will benefit 18 community pharmacies in West Dorset. The news follows a recent meeting Mr Loder held with the CEO of Community Pharmacy England, Janet Morrison, to discuss how the scheme will improve primary care and provide financial benefits for local pharmacies.
Mr Loder said: “From Beaminster to Bridport, Sherborne to Dorchester, 18 community pharmacies in West Dorset have signed up to and will benefit from the Government’s Pharmacy First scheme. The scheme provides financial benefits worth on average £1,000 per month to those pharmacies participating in the scheme, plus £15 per consultation.”
He added: “The Government is investing a record £645 million into the Pharmacy First scheme, which I’m glad is benefitting our community pharmacies in West Dorset.”
