Chris Loder, MP for West Dorset, has confirmed that Sherborne Banking Hub will have a cash machine (ATM) available in the town centre. It follows scaremongering attempts by the Liberal Democrats on political leaflets, claiming that there is no guarantee of a cash point in Cheap Street.
Mr Loder said: ‘I can indeed confirm that a cash point will be included at Sherborne’s Banking Hub, which will be operational from 2025. Lloyds Bank has confirmed that the current ATM provision will remain open until the Hub is fully operational, including with a cash machine.’
He continued: “The Lib Dems have got it wrong again over the new Sherborne Banking Hub. Rather than reverse-ferret and share the facts, the Liberal Democrats are using their political leaflets and addressing groups in Sherborne to scaremonger people into believing that there will be no ATM on Cheap Street. It is in the public interest that the Liberal Democrats correct their inaccurate claims.”
